On Friday, August 5th, Sarah, Janette and I finished packing and cleaning up our house with the help of some dear friends and boarded the plane at 9 pm. We had quite an assortment of luggage, in fact we counted 9 pieces of luggage, since we have to live on whatever we bring for the next 2 to 3 months until our shipping container arrives. As can be imagined, the last few hours were rather hectic, and my first text after arriving in London was to my friend Becky, telling her that I think I left dirty dishes in the dishwasher and if she could run the dishwasher for me! Haha, not sure what else I forgot. The good thing is that our property manager was going to fix up our house some more anyways before we rent it out and will take care of whatever we forgot.

It was a miracle, but we made it to England on a direct flight with all our luggage! (This summer Heathrow was known as the number one airport for lost luggage!!) And here is our new home in Naphill, a tiny village just 10 minutes from High Wycombe where Josh's work and Sarah's school is:

Right after we arrived at home we headed out almost immediately to do some shopping, because we had no bedding or towels yet, nor garbage cans, shampoo and conditioner, etc. etc. Josh was able to get some stuff when he arrived 2 weeks before, but actually had a conference in Maryland one week later. So off we go again, to keep us awake and get something to sleep on.

Here we are at Josh's workplace: Rayspec. On Sunday after church we spent some time at his work because we still had no wifi at our house. In fact, it took 2 1/2 weeks to get wifi! We had to do some important tasks, such as getting my phone set up in the UK, getting insurance, buying a car, etc. etc.

One more exciting news: On our first Sunday at church, Pres. Whiting, the 1st counselor in the brand new Europe North Area presidency attended our ward and announced that the new area office will be in High Wycombe close to Josh's work!! He was actually the first person we met that Sunday in church and when he found out we moved here the day before he immediately asked me: "Would you be interested in working at the new church headquarter?" The church is in the process of hiring about 50 new employees for this headquarter. I submitted my resume a few days later.
